The American University of Beirut Model United Nations Conference (AUBMUNC) is an international MUN conference held in Beirut, Lebanon. The conference provides a platform for students to engage in diplomatic simulations, fostering a strong MUN culture and promoting student participation in recreational, social and cultural activities. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I apply to become a dais member?
If you are an AUB student or a university student, then yes, you can apply to become a dais member. If you're a high school student, you'll be limited to co-chair or director applications.
If I'm part of a delegation, when will I need to submit my personal details?
Delegates in school delegations will receive instructions for submitting their details after initial registration closes on December 8, 2025.
How can I pay the conference fee(s)?
School delegation advisors will receive payment details and handle all group payments. Independent delegates will manage their own payments individually.
Are there any committees offered in other languages, such as Arabic or French?
No, all AUBMUN committees are conducted in English.
Can middle schoolers participate in AUBMUN?
Unfortunately, AUBMUN is open only to high school and university students.
When is the deadline for registration?
The registration deadline is December 8, 2025.
Can I register as an independent delegate?
Yes, independent delegate registration is open until December 8, 2025. Please make sure to use the independent delegate registration link instead of the school delegation link.
Can high school students be dais members chairs?
High school students may apply to be dais members, but Chair positions are reserved for university students. High school students are eligible to apply as Directors.
When is the Mock Conference, and is it mandatory to attend?
The Mock Conference will take place on February 7, 2026. Attendance is mandatory for at least one training event - you may miss either the training session or the mock conference, but not both.
What is the maximum number of students allowed in a delegation?
There is no limit to the number of students who can be part of a delegation.
When is the training session taking place?
The training session will be held on January 10, 2026.
Is attendance mandatory for the training session?
Attendance is required for at least one training event. If you miss the training session, you must attend the Mock Conference, and vice versa.
Is BEYMUN the same as AUBMUN?
Yes! AUBMUN is the revamped version of BEYMUN - they are part of the same legacy and conference tradition.
Can a passport be used as an ID?
Yes, a valid passport may be used as your form of identification if you do not have a national ID.
Will there be a discount on delegate fees?
Yes, there will be a discount option for public school students. However, please note that the lunch package will be excluded if you opt for the discount.
Is accommodation available for national delegates (delegates living in Lebanon)?
Accommodation is not provided for national delegates. However, if a delegation requires lodging, the AUBMUN team can assist with arrangements - costs must be covered by the school or university.
